Ozaukee County, WI – To invest in Wisconsin’s transportation system, Governor Evers signed a $1.5 million contract to diamond grind Hwy 57 in Ozaukee County.
Work is scheduled to begin June 6, 2022, weather permitting. The diamond grind project will wrap up on July 18, 2022.

The prime contractor for the project and will implement the following:
Project Improvements
- Diamond grinding the existing concrete pavement
- Base patching
- Shoulder improvements
- Replacement of beam guards
- Median crossovers repairs
Work will be done under full closure. Hwy 57 southbound detour will follow Hwy W to Hwy 33, then Hwy 33 to I-43 southbound on-ramp. Hwy 57 northbound detour will follow Hwy 33, County W, then Hwy N to Hwy 57.
Construction is currently scheduled to begin June 6, 2022, and be completed by July 18, 2022. The schedule is dependent on favorable weather conditions and construction progress.
