Notice of Spring Election | 2 candidates, so far, file to run for mayor in City of Hartford, WI

January 7, 2025 – Hartford, WI – On Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at 3 p.m. Hartford clerk Shanna Kreilkamp said two people had filed to run for mayor. The seat opened after incumbent mayor Timothy Michalak filed non-candidacy in December 2024.

Those who filed appropriate paperwork and signatures to run for mayor of Hartford, WI, are both former alderman, Joseph Fulop and Dennis Regan.

Incumbents in aldermanic District 2 and 3 have filed all appropriate papers and are, so far, uncontested.
Two people filed to run for District 1 alderman after incumbent Joseph Fulop filed non-candidacy. The candidates are Thomas Pechacek and Erin Wilk.

The deadline to file to run for local office is today at 5 p.m.

January 7, 2025 – West Bend, Wi – There will be a Primary Election on February 18, 2025, in West Bend, WI as three candidates have filed to run for alderman in District 2.

 

 

As of 1 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, those who have filed appropriate paperwork and signatures include in alphabetical order: Rhett Engelking, Riley Hansen, and Mike Hartwell.

The even-numbered districts are up for election in April 2025 and according to the clerk’s office, three incumbents in Districts 4, 6, and 8 have also filed to run again. Those seats, as of 1 p.m. were, so far, uncontested.

In District 2, incumbent Mark Allen filed non-candidacy in December 2024.

Today, Tuesday, January 7, 2025, is the final day to apply to run for local office. Appropriate paperwork must be turned in by 5 p.m.

In District 2 incumbent Mark Allen has filed non-candidacy. He turned in his paperwork December 27, 2024, the deadline day to file non-candidacy.

 

Allen has been on the common council since 2019 when he beat challenger Mike Christian. He won re-election in 2021 beating challenger Chris Thompson and Allen won again in 2023 beating challenger Sonja Hanrahan.

It has been confirmed a candidate Riley Hansen will be filing appropriate paperwork this morning to run for alderman in District 2. This is a working story and more details will be posted when information is available.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the first day to circulate nomination papers is Sunday, December 1, 2024, and the final day for filing nomination papers is 5 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, in the office of the City Clerk. Nomination papers are available in the City Clerk’s office.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that if a primary election is necessary, the primary will be held Tuesday, February 18, 2025.

Jackson’s Village Board is composed of a Village President and six (6) trustees, whose term is two-years long. The Village President and three trustees are elected at the annual spring election in odd-numbered years.

In the Village of Germantown Trustee, District 4 incumbent Phil Hudson resigned his office effective January 15, 2025. The vacancy will be filled by a special election on April 1, 2025.

Nomination papers can be found at Candidate Information | Germantown, WI – Official Website or at the Village Clerk’s office, and because this is a special election, papers are due to the Clerk by 5 p.m. on January 14, 2025.

Should a special primary election be necessary, it will be held on February 18, 2025.

 

Village of Kewaskum

In the Village of Kewaskum seats up for the Spring Election on April 1, 2025, include the Village President and three (3) Village Trustee positions will be on the ballot.  The top three candidates will serve a term of 2 years.

 

There are three seats on the Village Board in Richfield up for election in April 2025 including Village President John Jeffords and two Trustee seats: Tom Wolff and Pam Schmitt.

Town of Barton

Town chairwoman Kris Turner will run unopposed in the April 2025 Spring Election.

Town of Erin

In the Town of Erin, incumbent Dean Schober filed non-candidacy papers on December 26, 2024, and will not run for Town Supervisor.

In the Town of Trenton three seats are up for election. Incumbent town Chairman Mike Lipscomb will run unopposed as will supervisor Barb Davies. Supervisor Ed Doerr is stepping down after 30 years and Tony Thoma filed paperwork to fill that spot. He is uncontested.

Town of West Bend

There are two supervisors and the town board chairman up for election on the April 1, 2025, ballot in the Town of West Bend, WI. According to clerk Julie Ihlenfeld, all incumbents filed to run again including town chair Troy Zagel, and supervisors Mark Wagor, and Steve Lindley. None of the races are contested.
