Letter to the Editor | Elect Sue True for Washington County Clerk on August 13, 2024 | By Jody Geenen

June 19, 2024 – West Bend, WI – During elections, it can be overwhelming to consider and weigh the many important issues that go with candidates from all parties. Nevertheless, if we don’t have fair and transparent elections, our votes on any other issues will be moot.

Regarding voting machines, let’s call them what they are: election computers.  Every adult of sound mind knows that computers can easily be hacked no matter how good our anti-virus and anti-spyware are. Nothing is hackproof — not even the Pentagon.

Over the past several elections, regardless of which political party supposedly won a race, the other inevitably questioned whether the machines were compromised. So why have we been solely relying on them and avoiding the proper verification of individual machine-counted candidate votes with hand counts?

There is one candidate running for Washington County Clerk who refuses to put her trust solely in voting computers; her name is Sue True.

Sue is not a politician – she is an analyst with an engineering degree and 25 years of private sector experience. She has had her “boots on the ground” for a number of years working elections and recounts and providing her detailed observations of election vulnerabilities as well as suggestions of how to fix them, to the current county clerk, municipal clerks, and those in charge of elections for our state.

True knew her security measures would be implemented best if she could serve our community as our county clerk.

The real election for County Clerk (as well as District Attorney, State Senators and Assembly, if you want a choice within your preferred party) is August 13, 2024.

Please join me in obtaining truth in our elections and protecting the priceless votes of all citizens by electing Sue True for Washington County Clerk on August 13, 2024.
