Attending from the post; Commander Chris Ellenbecker, Quartermaster Richard Gellendin, Trustee Dan Frey, Boy Scouts & Girl Scouts coordinator Shannon Scroggins, Chaplin Ken Castello, Adjutant Tom Haase and comrade Mike Carney. We all have a responsibility as veterans to help instill American values to the present and next generation in America.
Achieving Eagle Scout is the highest accomplishment a Boy Scout can achieve in scouting and only 4 percent of boys in scouts achieve this rank.
Two scouts who became Eagle Scouts were Alexander Weseljak and Luke Rosner; both have been with troop #731 since they began scouting.

Luke Rosner will be attending college in the fall. Alexander Weseljak is joining the United States Marine Corp. Luke was presented his PFC strips by Sergeant Wherry, at the ceremony. Luke earned the rank from his experience in scouting and his leadership skills.

The Zunker-Held Post #3358 presented the two men with an eagle statue and certificate of achievement. Mentoring young people and teaching them about duty, honor, and service to country, is a very important function of the VFW.

Alex Weseljak’s Eagle Project featured coordinating the painting of five out-buildings of various sizes at the Milwaukee Light Engineering Society in Cedarburg WI.
This group works on medium trains (rideable) and provides rides to the general public during the summer months. They have approximately 5-acres of land on this site. Alex raised money for the project through a brat fry in Slinger.
