October 12, 2022 – West Bend, Wi – A couple of franchise clothing stores are closer to opening. Dunham’s Sports, 1291 W. Paradise Dr., in West Bend, WI is opening in the former Elder-Beerman/Boston Store.
It was April 26, 2022 when WashingtonCountyInsider.com reported Dunham’s Sports had its eye on the former Boston Store/Elder-Beerman location in the West Bend Corporate Center.
Initially the store planned on opening in a July/August timeframe. Now it appears store management is only slightly past that window and expecting a soft opening in the coming week with a grand opening before the end of the month. Management is expected to phone in an update Friday, October 14.

Two doors down the Old Navy clothing store is still under construction.
It was June 17, 2022 when WashingtonCountyInsider.com posted about Old Navy and its 13,000-square-foot store moving into the former MC Sports, 1311 W. Paradise Drive.
That target completion date was October 1, 2022. The lead contractor said they are a little behind.
Questioned about a rumored October 29 ribbon cutting, Marcus Rankins, project superintendent, said was skeptical.
The video below shows construction is already underway at the former Boston Store as that is being built out as Dunham’s Sports.
A quick review of the property shows a 13,000-square-foot parcel formerly home to MC Sports in the West Bend Corporate Center, 1311 W. Paradise Drive.
MC Sports announced in February 2017 it would be closing its West Bend, WI location along with 65 other stores across the Midwest.

There are nine Old Navy stores in southeast Wisconsin including Old Navy on Sunset Drive in Waukesha, Bay Shore in Whitefish Bay, Johnson Creek, and Southridge.
