February 23, 2023 – Washington Co., WI – During Wednesday’s snowstorm, at 9:33 p.m., a 27-year-old Milwaukee man called the Washington Co. Sheriff’s office to report he accidentally drove into the ditch on US Highway 45 near Western Avenue.
Calls like this were common yesterday as the sheriff’s office handled approximately 80 traffic related calls during the recent snow event.
This call was different. When the first responding deputy arrived at the caller’s request, the deputy smelled the strong odor of burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle. He was arrested for parole violations and more drug charges. The suspect’s criminal history includes arrests and convictions for felon in possession of a firearm, discharge firearm into vehicle and/or building and possession with intent to deliver cocaine.
The suspect remains in custody at the Washington County Jail.
