The far north bridge over the Milwaukee River in downtown West Bend will be removed starting Tuesday, Dec. 15.
Janke General Contractors will begin putting equipment in place for the pedestrian bridge project, located off Service Drive adjacent to Vest Pocket Park.
Janke will only be working on removal of the northern-most existing pedestrian bridge over the Milwaukee River.
Some of the parking area on the west side of the river will be used for staging equipment or materials but access along Service Drive will be maintained at all times.
Should there be any closures of Service Drive during the duration of this project, all businesses will be notified 48 hours in advance of any closure.
