May 17, 2017 – West Bend, WI – The Kettle Moraine YMCA, with the help of funds2orgs, is collecting gently worn, used and new shoes, boots, heels and sandals.
This is an annual campaign fundraiser benefiting the community; the YMCA’s goal is to raise $3,000 by June 16.
Profit is based on the weight of the shoes, so as you are spring cleaning, bring in your shoes.
“We’ve already collected over 1,400 pounds,” said donor relations coordinator Amber Weinfurter.
“The impact will not only be local, but globally, with shoes going to Latin America, Caribbean, Asia, Africa and Eastern Europe.”
Shoes can be dropped off at the Kettle Moraine YMCA.
Please make sure shoes are clean, in good condition, soles are still intact, no holes and bound by tying laces together or by rubber bands.
