Letter to the Editor | Vote Donaldson for School Board, Schimel for State Supreme Court, and Yes to Referendum | By Bart Williams

March 29, 2025Washington Co., Wi – Washington County voters – please join me in re-electing West Bend School Board member, John Donaldson, electing Brad Schimel to the Wisconsin Supreme Court, and codifying showing a photo ID to vote into the Wisconsin Constitution by voting “YES” on the statewide referendum.

Letter Donaldson

John Donaldson is an outstanding school board member! His independent mindset lets him properly balance the needs of all stakeholders, not just a few (i.e., district administration, teachers’ union).

John is a family man and served honorably in combat in our military to protect us. He knows Common Core truly hurts our students, and we are ruining kids with racist and divisive Extreme Radical Leftist ideology such as DIE (it kills race relations), SEL, critical race indoctrination, etc. These distractions from learning harm our district’s state report card scores (declined 9 percent from 2017-18 to 2022-23). This D-plus average is unacceptable. John has done all he can to fix this low performance. He cares about all our kids. Our underachieving schools have driven about 1,000 students from our district.

That’s why John correctly saw that our school district did not deserve to hurt all our families with the overpriced $165,000,000 referendum that violated district policy 615 (Disclosure of Financing and Total Costs of All Referenda) for many weeks and was unethically snuck by the public. How do I know the superintendent and board majority purposely violated policy 615? Because I researched, wrote, and shepherded policy 615 to unanimous passage 13 years ago when I was on the school board. The other two candidates either did support, or likely would have supported, this irresponsible referendum, so neither will get my vote.

Brad Schimel stands for judicial integrity, law-and-order, and applying the law as written, not wrongfully legislating from the bench as it is my genuine understanding his opponent would do. Have you noticed how a number of rogue, overreaching, Extreme Radical Leftist federal judges are now way overstepping their authority to try to illegally thwart President Trump’s excellent, Americans-supported reforms? I am very worried Brad Schimel’s opponent will do the exact same thing in Wisconsin. Judge Schimel can be trusted to completely honor and adhere to our U.S. and Wisconsin Constitutions, and all on-the-books laws, and apply them fairly and impartially as written.

Let’s re-elect John Donaldson to the West Bend School Board, vote Brad Schimel onto the Wisconsin Supreme Court, and vote YES to the statewide referendum.

Sincerely

Bart Williams

West Bend, WI
