Slinger, WI – The Slinger School District announcing the hire of Kristi Brooks as the new Assistant Superintendent. A total of 33 candidates applied and there were five finalists. A memo was released to parents in the district early Friday morning.
Brooks will fill the seat previously held by Jim Curler, who was named the district’s new Superintendent in November 2021. Curler took over for Daren Sievers who announced November 3, 2021, he was stepping out after 27 years in education and 9 years as Superintendent.
Brooks was hired at an annual salary of $136,000 plus benefits.

I am very pleased to announce Mrs. Kristi Brooks as the next Assistant Superintendent of the Slinger School District. Mrs. Brooks will start this position on July 1.
Mrs. Brooks has been a school administrator for nine years and currently is the Director of Student Learning for the Muskego-Norway School District and has been in that position for the past seven years.
Kristi and her family have been lifelong residents of neighboring Hubertus, WI. So, she is very familiar with our community and the Tradition of Excellence that is prevalent in the Slinger Schools.
