Jan. 30, 2019 – West Bend, WI – There’s something to be said for commitment and dedication and Pete Rettler of West Bend has it.
Rettler created an event at the end of 2018 to celebrate his 25 year running streak and despite the weather warnings and frigid temps…. the streak has notched another day in the books.
The following is a note from Pete Rettler:
For all of my friends who suggested today would be a good day to end the streak or asked that I consider doing my run on a treadmill today. I just completed a 1.75 mile run, I would have went further but told Kelly Rettler to come search for me if I wasn’t back in 15 minutes.
It was not as cold as a Wisconsin Dells run about 5 years ago, wind was not bad at all. The streak is still alive, 25 years, plus 30 days.
