December 31, 2019 – West Bend, WI – Demolition of the building formerly home to Pizza Hut, 1610 W. Washington Street, is underway as crews make room for the development of a new Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin Robbins
The project has taken a bit to get underway after designs went before the West Bend Plan Commission in September 2019.
On Monday, passing motorists saw the backhoe and Dumpster sitting behind a Cyclone fence on Highway 33. The windows of the old Pizza Hut had been removed.
The 2,160-square-foot parcel is zoned B-1 and will soon be home to the popular combo stores of Dunkin Donuts and Baskin Robbins.
According to plans the new building will have mountain red brick, orange colored awnings, 21 standard parking stalls and a drive thru.
The chain restaurant is expected to open in early spring 2020, however the timetable is weather dependent.
Now this is good news for West Bend. We could use a Best Buy store here too. I’ve been saying that for 10 years.
I’m still waiting for a CVS in West Bend!
Now if we can do something about there neighbors, KFC.
There service has been very poor for a very long time. Started getting chicken from Pizza Ranch
Sadly I agree. KFC has run its course. Time to let it go. Does anyone even go there anymore?
I’m so excited there will be a Baskin Robbins only 20 mins away from where I live!! This is great!! I hope it does well!
It was sad to see that building go but hopefully what goes there will do well.
