September 30, 2023 – Dodge County, WI – The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and Fox Lake Police Department responded to a residence in the City of Fox Lake at about 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2023, regarding a person who was in a mental health crisis and a firearm was believed to be involved.
During the investigation into the incident, a small portion of a residential neighborhood had access restricted to ensure the safety of all involved, and the community.
Approximately 2 hours into the investigation, a robot was used to safely access the residence, and a person was found deceased inside.
The incident is under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, Fox Lake Police Department, and the Dodge County Medical Examiner. Fox Lake EMS was staged at the scene for the duration of the event. There is no safety risk to the community regarding this incident. No additional information is expected to be released.
