Groth has served as a crossing guard for the WBPD since 2013. He started as a substitute but quickly took over the often challenging intersection of Highway 33 and Indiana Avenue; crossing children who attend Fair Park Elementary.

In addition to Groth’s regular assignment, he is quick to volunteer for other intersections when he can to cover absences. Groth has developed a rapport with students and parents. Groth is reliable, flexible, and takes his job very seriously.
