1 person killed in vehicle vs. semi crash in Sheboygan Co., WI | By Lt. James A Gottsacker

August 13, 2024 – Sheboygan Co., Wi – On Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at approximately 1:37 p.m., the Sheboygan County Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call advising of a vehicle versus semi-truck collision at the intersection of County Road A (west) and County Road U / Kettleview Road, located in the Town of Mitchell in the southwest portion of Sheboygan County.

Preliminary investigation indicated that a 2015 Ford Mustang being operated by an 80-year-old male from Plymouth was stopped at the stop sign on County Road U facing east at County Road A (west).

The driver pulled out in front of the semi which was travelling south on County Road A (West).

The semi was being operated by a 38-year-old male from Plymouth and was hauling 5,500 gallons of liquid manure.

The operator of the Mustang was declared deceased on scene and the operator of the semi was transported via Flight for Life to Froedtert in Milwaukee with serious injuries.

The accident is being reconstructed by the Wisconsin State Patrol.

Other public safety resources that assisted on this incident were Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office, Sheboygan County Highway Department, Plymouth Police Department, WI State Patrol, Orange Cross Ambulance, Fire Department’s from Cascade, Greenbush, Beechwood and Plymouth.

Names and other details will not be released at this time pending notification of families.

  1. We have driven that intersection many times over the years on our way to and from camping. We always thought that was a dangerous spot. My heart goes out to everyone who knows and cares about the drivers. Thank you to all of the professionals who assisted after this tragedy.
