Serious crash in Dodge Co. – Driver arrested 5th OWI | By Sheriff Dale J. Schmidt

December 18, 2024 – Dodge Co., WI – On Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at approximately 10:38 a.m., the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, responded to a single-vehicle rollover crash on County Road MM near Robin Road, in the township of Lebanon.

Initial investigation showed a 2006 GMC Sierra was traveling eastbound on County Road MM and failed to negotiate a curve to the left.

The GMC Sierra over-corrected and crossed over the center line and westbound lane of County Road MM. The GMC Sierra entered the north ditch and struck an embankment, causing the GMC Sierra to roll over, and ejecting the driver.

The driver, a 38-year-old male from rural Watertown (and sole occupant), was flown from the scene by helicopter to Summit Hospital in Oconomowoc with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver was arrested for 5th Offense Operating a Motor Vehicle while Intoxicated.

The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigation Team.

Assisting at the scene were the Watertown Paramedics, Lebanon Fire Department, and Lebanon First Responders.
