West Bend, WI – It was August 2022 when Copper River Bar and Grill, LLC, 111 N. Main Street, West Bend, WI held its grand opening following a major remodel. Now, two short days after Main Street closed for reconstruction the bar/restaurant is announcing it is “suspending operations.”

According to the post: “After long and thoughtful consideration, Copper River Bar & Grill will be suspending operations effective today (April 5th, no service starting today) during the Main Street construction project. Building access for our Customers and vendors is critical to a thriving business and with Main Street shut down and the Riverwalk project incomplete, we were pushed to make this very difficult decision.
“The Copper River staff is top notch and we truly love our Customers. Thank you for your support during the last year and let’s work together to continue to support local West Bend businesses!
For those that have gift cards (we will process returns until 6/31) you can mail your name, address, phone number and physical card to 111 N. Main Street – Suite 104, West Bend, WI 53095.”
Calls have been placed to Tracey Serwatt, owner of the building with his wife, Rebecca, to see if this is a permanent or temporary decision.
This is a working story and more information will be posted when details become available.
The lower-level location has been through many changes over the years. Once home to Timothy’s, the chamber of commerce, Muddy’s on Main, Cafe Soeurette and Oaken Hogg … to name a few.
