February 2, 2020 – Kewaskum, WI -It was May 30, 2019 when Kewaskum Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire at Westbury Bank, 1052 Fond du lac Ave in the Village of Kewaskum.
Upon arrival there was heavy smoke showing as the bank went up in flames. Four area fire departments came to assist including West Bend Fire Department, Boltonville, Kohlsville and Newburg Fire Department.
Now, almost eight months later, building permits have been pulled and work to repair the bank is expected to begin this week.
Nobody was injured in the fire. The cause may have been linked to some construction that had been done in the upper level of the building.
