Community Church Celebrates 30 Years

On Sunday, the congregation at Community Church of West Bend came together for a very special celebration; 30 years of presence in the West Bend community.
DSC_1808Senior Pastor Adam Baker gave the Washington County Insider a little bit of history on the church, “For the past 30 years, West Bend Community Church has had the privilege of serving this community.  On Sept 15th, 1986, a group of 50 people began meeting at the Silverbrook Elementary School.  Over the past 30 years, God has blessed Community Church through many changes.  While some things have changed, two things have remained constant.  First, our God has never changed and has continued to provide and to lead through all situations and circumstances.  Second, when the current location south of Walgreen’s on Paradise and Main was purchased in 1990, the prayer by the leadership was that God would do a great work from the inside, out.  Our prayer remains the same today and God is continuing to do a great work in and through us.”

They will also be hosting their first “Music and More” at Regner park on 8/7 with free entertainment, food, and an outdoor worship service.  It is the mission of Community Church, he says, to “continue to be not just a church in the community, but a church for the community.”
Baker also stated, “We are so blessed to be a part of West Bend.
