West Bend, WI – Holy Angels Catholic School, 230 N. Eighth Ave., West Bend, WI, is shining a spotlight on its 2023/2024 staff. You’d be hard-pressed to find a student who doesn’t look forward to PE class with Mitch Draxler. He is an excellent teacher, coach, and mentor to our kids.
Draxler said, “I have been the Physical Education and Health Teacher at Holy Angels since 2010. I attended the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse where I received my bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education and Health and have licenses to teach both subjects to students in K3-12.

“In my spare time, I coach football at Slinger High School, where I am in my 14th football season as a coach at either Slinger or West Bend West. I also enjoy fishing and hunting whenever I get the chance.”
“What makes Holy Angels unique to me is that it has always been “home” to me. As a graduate of Holy Angels (2000) I have an understanding of what the community and tradition of faith and welcoming are all about.
Returning to his alma mater wasn’t in Draxler’s wheelhouse back in the day. “I had never thought I would be back as a teacher, but I truly look forward to coming to school each morning. It’s been a great experience working with so many faces that were here from when I was a student to the many new faces that have joined our staff the past years, and my wife Cyndi and I look forward to the many new memories that our kids, Will (currently K-3) and Rylee (age 1) will experience as students,” said Draxler.
