Officials in the city of Hartford are awaiting medical results following an incident around 3:45 p.m. Friday afternoon at Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center.
“We don’t have any details about it,” said city administrator Steve Volkert. “Because of the seriousness of the situation we’re not releasing anything.”
Volkert did confirm a woman in her 40s did have a medical emergency and was taken from the pool by ambulance.
Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center was closed following the incident around 4:15 p.m.
Hartford’s pool opened July 11. This is the second emergency situation in the last month and a half.
On July 25 a 2-year-old boy was pulled from the water and resuscitated. His life was saved by parents and lifeguards.
