Dec. 26, 2017 – Jackson, WI – The Christmas season can be a time of great joy. Recently the choir from St.Paul’s/St.Peter’s Lutheran Church entertained residents at the Samaritan Home and Cedar Communities.
We went to the dining area and residents seemed very happy to listen to us sing; some of them even sang along.
Most clapped for us and said “Thank you” as we walked out of the room. There were 17 people in our choir and all were there to bring joy to others. It was a great feeling.
As I was walking out of Cedar Community, I spoke to employee, Diane Shrevers. “Residents love this,” said Shrevers. “It brightens there day and helps bring back memories of joy from holidays past.”
Our group gathered back at the church for some chili and fellowship. It was a great experience, a lot of fun, and I am so happy that we were able to bring joy to others.
