Sept. 10, 2017 – Kewaskum, WI – Sunday afternoon, Jerry Gosa of the Kewaskum American Legion Post and a crew of volunteers were busy putting 3,000 flags into the ground around a section of the steel beam at the Village of Kewaskum Annex.
The beam was part of the North Tower of the World Trade Center in New York which was destroyed during the morning of Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2001.
On Monday, Sept. 11 at 9:15 a.m. there will be a ceremony to remember Andrea Habermann and the 3,000 others that died .

“A ceremony will be held at 9:15 a.m. at the Kewaskum Municipal Building Annex at 1308 Fond du Lac Ave. The public is invited. In of case rain, the event will be held in the Kewaskum High School auditorium. The 30-minute ceremony will include a presentation by the American Legion Honor Guard, State Rep. Jesse Kremer and Village Administrator Matt Heiser will speak at the event; music will be performed by students from Kewaskum High School.”
