Brianna Eileen Martz, “You were our beginning.” She was born in West Bend on April 17, 1986 and called home to God on April 14, 2016.  Our daughter Brianna – “Bri Cheese,” “Breezy,” “Snuggle Bug,” was the first light of our lives.

Brianna had a zest for life that was relentless.  She was a girl who was courageous and fearless as she chased her dreams.  She was a kind and loving young lady, who strived to make everyone around her feel special and loved.  She then became a woman who took the world by storm.  Thank you for taking us along for the ride, and what an amazingly incredible ride it was!

She loved music, snowboarding, traveling and going on adventures.  She cherished her friendships and above all, enjoyed being with her family.

Brianna graduated from Bryant Stratton College with a Master’s Degree in nursing.  She worked as an ER nurse at Wheaton Franciscan Medical Group in Racine and then as a pediatric emergency nurse at Sky Ridge Medical Center in Denver, CO.

You were taken from us in a senseless act.  The visible effect from that and the loss of your fighting spirit has left us broken.  Your love of life will be our inspiration and our faith will heal us in time.  We will live our lives through you until we see you again.  Until then, Sweet Brianna…. “Everything that happens is from now on.”

She is survived by her loving parents, Eileen and Robert Martz of West Bend and brother Adam (fiancée Maddie Gibson) Martz of Madison.  She is further survived by other relatives and many dear friends.

A Celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 7:00 PM at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W Paradise Drive, West Bend) with Dan Schroeder presiding.  The visitation will be held on Thursday, April 21st from 4:00 PM until 6:45 PM at the funeral home.
