Cedar Community rated among Best Nursing Homes by U.S. News & World Report | By Carrie Sturn

November 12, 2019 – West Bend, WI – Cedar Community is proud to announce it has been identified for the second year in a row as one the Best Nursing Homes for 2019-20 by U.S. News & World Report, a global authority in health care rankings.

Best Nursing Home USA TodayCedar Community’s short-term rehabilitation received a high performing rating, with many categories rating much higher than the national average, especially nursing and patient-centered care. The data used to evaluate each nursing home and short-term rehabilitation comes from the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicare Services (CMS). The rating is based on nurse staffing, patient outcomes, facility complaints, and rehabilitation therapy, and are defined as high performing, average, or below average.

Cedar Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center’s ranking is among the elite top 20 percent of the 15,000 U.S. skilled nursing facilities nationwide. U.S. News & World Report’s findings are shared on their web page, health.usnews.com/best-nursing-homes.

Cedar Community is also a Medicare five-star rated nursing home, medicare.gov. These ratings provide valuable information for potential residents and their families navigating retirement facilities, allowing them to make informed decisions about the quality of care provided.
