Dec. 11, 2018 – Washington Co., WI – The Washington County Heroin Task Force and Elevate are hosting two Candlelight Vigils for those that are dealing with the loss of a loved one to an addiction.
This loss could be death or confinement or treatment center.
These vigils have shown to be very helpful to friends and families dealing with missing someone to an addiction. It allows for those in attendance to support each other and be a part of ecumenical ceremony with music and words of encouragement to work through the holiday season.
The first vigil be held Thursday evening, Dec. 13 at Kettlebrook Church at 2378 W Washington Street in West Bend starting at 5 p.m. and should end around 6:30 p.m. There will be refreshments and snacks following so all can share friendship and support with others.
Sunday, Dec. 17 will be the second candlelight vigil will be held at Richfield Fire Station Number 1, located at 2008 WI-175. This on the north end of the original community of Richfield, entrance will be at the north doors of the building. This ceremony will be starting at 5:00 pm and should end around 6:30 pm. There will be refreshments and snacks following so all can share friendship and support with others.
