May 3, 2017 – Slinger, WI – For the 11th year in a row, SAMBA (Slinger Area Music Booster Association) will be hosting it’s annual chicken dinner on May 13, at Allenton Park.
S.A.M.B.A. is the backbone of the music program at Slinger High School. They’ve contributed over $50,000 to the music program at SHS, including (but not limited to): over $9,000 in scholarships to seniors in band and choir, $300 towards recording concerts, and $10,000 in instruments.
In addition to providing financial aid, SAMBA also assists with transporting equipment and other hands-on tasks.
The chicken dinner May 13 at Allenton Park, will be earmarking all money raised to support the music program at Slinger High School. This event, however, is more than a simple fundraiser. The night is jam packed with fun: dinner is from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. (kids meals are also available), and the live auction starts at 7 p.m.
In addition, there will be a silent auction, raffle, and music, provided by SHS A Capella Choirs.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids; they’re available through May 3 at the following locations: Romie’s in Allenton, Landmark Credit Union in Hartford and Bergmann’s, and Smiley’s in Slinger.
