Business was pretty steady at the Allenton Farmers market Tuesday afternoon.
John Schwendi was able to add corn to the veggies for sale. He said many crops are a bit slower due to the heat and lack of rain, while the growing season for others came to an abrupt end.
Renae at Biggies & Bubba’s had a fresh selection of salsa, jams, chicken and turkey eggs and said the fruits and veggies she uses in her products are a little slow.
As more crops come into season, additional farmers are expected to join in at the market.
The Allenton Farmers Market is held Tuesday from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.
