Dec. 16, 2018 – West Bend, WI – Fans of Sweet Creations Village Bakery, 825 S. Main Street, in West Bend are passing along ‘thank-you’ cards and notes of support as the locally-owned bakery moves toward its final day, Dec. 23.
The bakery on the south end of the Decorah Shopping Center is closing after owner Derek Van Alstyne opened in West Bend in November 2011.
“All good things must come to an end,” said clerk Nancy Folkedahl.
Between orders of hot ham, apple fritters and vanilla long johns, Folkedahl fields well wishes and notes of thanks.
”I got a thank-you card from a weekly customer,” she said. “I always saved them chocolate chip cheese danish.”
The Sweer Creations in Slinger will still be open. Sweet Creations in West Bend will close Sunday, Dec. 23.
