August 24, 2021 – Kewaskum, WI – On a unanimous public vote of 6 – 0 the Kewaskum School Board tapped Bradley Petersen to fill the open seat left vacant in June 2021 after Doug Gonring stepped down.
“I would like to thank the community and the board members for their support,” said Petersen.
“By God’s grace and guidance I will serve the community with my whole heart. My top 3 priorities are curriculum, student involvement within the community, and fiscal responsibility. I sincerely want to thank everyone for their support. God Bless and Go Indians!”
Board member Sue Miller made the motion to appoint Pedersen. Board member Tim Ramthun seconded the motion. No other recommendations were made and the board approved Petersen.
Eleven candidates filed paperwork to fill the open seat.
The Kewaskum School Board interviewed the candidates during its August 4 Board of Education Special Meeting.
Petersen had run for office four time in 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018.
