West Bend, WI – For the past few years Bob’s Main Street Auto & Towing in West Bend, WI has used its tow trucks as a clever marketing tool to support causes that affect people locally and nationally.
The company, led by Bill and Laurie Rate, have tried to build awareness about Alzheimer’s, breast cancer, and autism. Each year Bob’s Main Street Auto unveils a new message wrapped around its truck. The latest, recognizes farmers.
“Farming is an unappreciated job and they probably don’t hear ‘thank you’ too often,” said Bill Rate. “The truck should serve as a reminder to people that farmers are critical to the economy and all the food we eat comes from a farm.”
The latest truck is yellow and green in color with a large emblem on the side and on the hood thanking farmers.

Keep in mind October serves as a month where motorists should move over or slow down for emergency responders and that includes tow truck drivers.
Motorists are reminded when passing a tow truck, or any emergency vehicle on the side of the road, to move over one lane when possible.
