West Bend, Wi – Robert “Bobby” A. Peters, 89, of West Bend entered Eternal Life on Friday, January 19, 2024.
He was born on January 8, 1935, to the late Arthur and Edna (nee Crass) Peters in West Bend. Bobby was raised on the family farm in West Bend, where he had many responsibilities, including the milk route, where he developed many friendships with other farmers along the way. Bobby enjoyed anything to do with farming. On December 10, 1960, he married Nancy Birzer at Trinity Lutheran Church in West Bend.
The couple settled in West Bend and raised their family that included eleven children. He worked at Johnson Brass and Machine Foundry, Inc. in Saukville for 30 years until retirement.
After retirement, he enjoyed spending the extra time he had with family. He always kept himself busy…whether it was removing dandelions from his lawn (one at a time!) with his trusty pocketknife, or shoveling snow, all he needed was his cigar to get him through any chore.
Those Bobby leaves behind to cherish his memory include six children, Julie (Dale) Becker, Lori (Andy) Blada, Penny (Keith) Dotzler, Scott (Amy) Peters, Mark (Andrea) Peters, and Amy Schmidt; 18 grandchildren, Randy Pietschmann, Jodi Pietschmann, Jennifer Pietschmann, Marcus Kuehl, Michelle Pieper, Matthew Pieper, Nathan Pieper, Nicholas Pieper, Robert Kuehl, Heather Stensaas, Tyler Peters, Brendan Peters, Brittany Peters, Mitchell Peters, Ethan Peters, Philip Dotzler, Christa Dotzler, and Josh Dotzler; 23 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Richard (Adeline) Peters, Donald Peters, and Bill Peters; sister-in-law, Rose Peters; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandson, Blake Peters; five children, Robin Peters, Randy Peters, Tami Jo Peters, Robert Peters, Jr., and Renee Kuehl; son-in-law, Mark Kuehl; four siblings, Judy Vore, Janet Peters, Thomas Peters, and Betty Flasch; and former wife, Nancy Herman.
