Any Washington County citizen looking to get involved on a Board or Committee for the County can now express that interest by filling out the newly created “Board and Committee Interest Form.” The form is available on the County website.
Citizens may choose to apply for any of the 15 committees that accept non-County Board members. Applications will be kept on record in the Administration office in case there are positions that become available for appointment.
At the present moment, there are two vacancies; one on the Civil Service Commission and another on the Human Services Committee. The Civil Service Commission insures the merit personnel system by recruiting and recommending qualified persons for employment for classified positions within the Washington County Sheriff’s Department. The Human Services Committee serves as a Liaison Committee for the Human Services Department and Child Support Agency, helping to offer effective and responsive community programs.
Forms may be mailed or delivered to: Washington County, Attention: Judy Steinert, 432 East Washington Street, West Bend, WI 53095. Forms may also be emailed to judy.steinert@co.washington.wi.us. Additional information may be submitted as you wish (i.e. resume).
