August 22, 2024 – Town of West Bend, Wi – Big Cedar Lake Protection & Rehabilitation District held its 2024 Annual Meeting on Wednesday, August 21, 2024.
The Annual Meeting vote results were read at approximately 9:25 p.m. The meeting adjourned at 9:30 p.m.
There were 384 that voted.
The 2025 Budget was approved. YES = 320 NO = 45 Unvoted = 13
The Tax levy was approved. YES = 266 NO = 94 Unvoted = 7
The Patrol boat purchase was approved YES = 291 NO = 79 Unvoted = 6
The Phase 2 Comprehensive Plan was approved YES = 303 NO = 69 Unvoted = 7
There are two (2) commissioner terms expiring August 2024. The Big Cedar Lake PRD has received notice that 4 candidates are interested in having their name on the 2024 Commissioner Ballot. The four individuals are:
Jeff Braun (incumbent)
Matt Haldemann (incumbent)
Ed Eckert
Bruce Reynolds

According to Julie Riley, “The commissioner terms are for three years. Matt Haldemann and Jeff Braun both served terms from August 2021, expiring August 2024. (elected commissioners are sworn in at the September monthly meeting of commissioners)
