Gratitude for local support; thanks to bidders, buyers at Washington County Fair Livestock Auction | By Natasha Ernst

Washington County, WI – My name is Alayna Lambrecht. I am 15 years old and a member of Kewaskum FFA. I have been showing market hogs at the Washington County Fair for the past five years and this year I showed my two homebred and raised hogs, Merchant and Twinkie. This is also my second year showing market steers.  I brought my steers, Maverick and Rooster, to the fair.

I want to thank Doug at West Bend Elevator for buying my 279-pound HBR hog as well as MGS Manufacturing Group for buying my 1,439-pound steer from the 2023 Junior Livestock auction.

I will be using the proceeds from this year’s auction to purchase new show equipment for next year as well as add to my college fund.

I also want to thank Lallemand Animal Nutrition, Lochen Equipment, Cousins Subs, Wilkes Plumbing, and Adell Cooperative for bidding on my animals.

It means a lot to me and to all other exhibitors the support we have from local businesses. Thank you to all the bidders and buyers that attended the 2023 Junior Livestock auction.
