May 2, 2024 – West Bend, WI – Barbara J. Hupfer, 87, of West Bend, WI, died peacefully, among loved ones on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Kathy Hospice. She was born June 18, 1936, in Milwaukee, to the late James Devine and Genevieve Albinger (nee Heth). She was married to the late Gary J. Hupfer on April 6, 1973 and previously married to Richard E. Wagner on November 17, 1953.
Barbara worked at The West Bend Company for many years. She enjoyed feeding birds, walking in the woods, Lake Michigan parks, casinos, reading and cooking. She also acted in a few plays.
Survivors include six children: Mary Kaye (Bill) Raddatz of Colorado Springs, CO, Connie (Mike) Schultz of Kanorado, KS, , Chris (Heidi) Wagner of West Bend WI; and stepchildren:Â Bruce (Kathi) Hupfer of Montrose, CO, Laura Porter (Simon) of Raleigh, NC, Diane (Jay) Schaab of Newnan, GA; and 13 grandchildren: Bill Raddatz, Sara Anderson, Justin Raddatz, Ryan Raddatz, Patti Schultz, Matthew Schultz, Chad Schultz, Jennifer Wagner, Bailey Wagner, Melanie Hupfer, Krista Malchow-Blanco, Nathan and Natalie Schaab. Great grandchildren include: Hunter and Ryan Raddatz; Elliot and Sloane Anderson; Gunnar, Ada, Fia and Ella Raddatz; Ayden, Rocco, Willow and Knox Raddatz; Leon and Asher Schultz; Edison, Greta and Franklin Ismert. She is further survived by seven Boyum family cousins, other relatives, and friends.
No service will be held, at Barbara’s request.
Her family would like to extend a special and heartfelt thanks to all the emergency personnel with the Town of Farmington Fire Department and all the doctors and nurses at West Bend’s Froedtert Hospital, Horizon Hospice and Kathy Hospice.
