On 03-05-16 at 12:29 p.m., the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motor vehicle crash on County Highway DW at Idaho Road, in the Township of Herman, Dodge County, Wisconsin.
Preliminary investigation shows that a Sport Utility Vehicle was traveling north on Idaho Road and failed to stop for the stop sign at the intersection with Cth DW.
The SUV vaulted, struck a tree and a fire ensued. The driver (lone occupant) was pronounced dead at the scene by the Dodge County Medical Examiner.
Identification of the driver is being withheld pending notification of family members.
Assisting at the scene was: Wisconsin State Patrol, Allenton Fire and EMS, Dodge County Medical Examiner.
The crash remains under investigation.

More details are expected to be released shortly in connection with a bad accident today at County Road DW and Idaho Road in neighboring Dodge County. That location is just over the Washington County line and to the north of Highway 33 near Addison.
There’s a strong possibility this could be a severe accident with injuries. Dodge County authorities said a release will be issued in the next hour.
