Kewaskum, WI – Neighbors in Allenton, Slinger, Kewaskum, West Bend and the rest of Washington County who have saved aluminum cans the entire year NOW is the time to turn them in at A&W Iron and Metal, 7588 Otten Lane.
This is the 25th year A&W Iron and Metal has been celebrating Earth Week, Monday, April 17 through Saturday, April 22, and quite a few neighbors save specifically for this time of year.
“We’ll get a couple people that turn in over 1,000 pounds,” said Lana Alexandra, co-owner of A&W Iron and Metal.
“They’re pickers and crush their cans and put them in heavy-duty plastic bags. They make good money and it’ll take them several days to bring in their collection.”
