Morales, 67, is well seasoned for the job having worked previously as a service advisor at an auto dealership and as a systems engineer at Rockwell Automation.
Morales, who lives in Jackson, WI, is also a United States Air Force veteran, obtaining the rank of 1st Sergeant. “It taught me discipline, resilience, and patience,” said Morales.
Automobiles were on Morales’ mind back in 1974 when, at 17, he bought his first car, a red ’69 Chevy Nova. “It was a fleet car for the company I worked for. When they got new cars they would sell the existing cars to the employees. They sold it to me for 50 bucks,” said Morales.
Morales arrived in the US as a high school student in Miami after traveling back and forth with his mother for her business. “They sent me over to finish high school in Miami. I stayed and became a student, an international student.”
Morales and his wife have five children, with one son currently serving in the US Air Force.
Morales set his eye on Auto Safety Center for a career move because he liked the company’s work ethic. “It’s tightly run – all the processes, procedures and training,” he said.
Little known tidbit of information: Morales admits not-too-shyly that he is “well known for busting a move here and there. My wife likes to dance; that’s how we met – on the dance floor.”
“I plan on working until I can’t work anymore,” said Morales.
