Oct. 5, 2018 – Mayville, WI – The 32nd Annual Audubon Days Festival is once again being held in downtown Mayville at Foster Park. Always held the first weekend in October, this year the festival will be Friday, Oct. 5 through Sunday, Oct. 7.
The Audubon Days festival is the perfect destination to experience Midwestern fall family fun. As one of the most unique fall festivals in the region, Audubon Days coincides with the beginning of Horicon Marsh’s bird migration and the peak of fall color.
Enjoy Friday night’s ever-popular bed races down Main Street followed by live by “Tigerpants” downtown starting at 8 p.m. Need something for the kids to do? There will also be a youth dance Friday night starting at 7 p.m.
Saturday kicks off with a 3 v 3 Basketball Tournament, a car show, and then a 5k Run & Walk. There is also a Bean Bag Toss Tournament for two person teams. Live music starts at noon with Pick’n n Grin’n. Beginning at 10 a.m. the Market on Main Vendor Fair begins along with the Food Court. The day also will feature a wide variety of kid’s entertainment, including Cristo Rey Ranch Petting Zoo, and inflatable obstacle course, crafts, 9 hole mini golf, and the mini rubber duck races.
The festival will also offer archery alley by the Horicon Marsh Bowmen. Live music continues at 4 p.m. with “Crank the Radio” and then at 8 p.m. “Midnight Road Crew” will perform downtown on Lot 21 just behind Main Street.
Sunday brings back all the children’s activities from Saturday plus Market on Main Vendor Fair beginning at 10:00 a.m. The 32nd Annual Audubon Days Parade begins at 11 a.m. on Mayville’s Historic Main Street. Kids activities begin at noon and food will also be available in the food tent. The Duck Raffle will be held at 3 p.m. in Foster Park.
