April 8, 2019 – Town of Addison, WI – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office was notified of an armed bank robbery at National Exchange Bank, 6278 Blueberry Road in the Town of Addison on April 8, 2019 at approximately 11:07 a.m.
Washington County Sheriff’s Office personnel responded immediately and were assisted by troopers from the Wisconsin State Patrol.
The teller reported a single white male entered the bank at approximately 11:07 a.m. The suspect approached the counter and displayed a handgun and demanded money from the bank teller. He escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash.
There were no injuries as a result of this robbery. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office would like to commend the staff of the National Exchange Bank for remaining calm during this frightening and dangerous situation.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is handling this investigation and is seeking the public’s assistance.
The suspect is described as a male white in his early to mid-’20s. He was described as short, possibly 5’05/5’08 and slender. He was wearing dark clothing with a dark-colored knit cap.
The male was wearing glasses and was holding a cell phone during the robbery.
