July 6, 2024 – Dodge Co., WI – The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a second serious motorcycle crash for the afternoon of Saturday, July 6, 2024.
At about 4:30 pm, 911 callers reported a single motorcycle crash on Redwood Road near Jersey Road, in the township of Trenton. A 19 year old Beaver Dam man was taken by ambulance to the hospital, and then flown by helicopter to a trauma center.
The initial investigation showed the involved motorcycle was traveling in a group of 4 motorcycles, eastbound on Redwood Rd.
The speed of the motorcycle was too high to negotiate a curve prior to the intersection, and the operator locked up the brakes, and lost control in the curve and was ejected from the motorcycle. He was wearing a helmet, but did suffer serious injuries.
Beaver Dam Fire Department and Paramedics also responded to the scene. UW Med Flight responded to the hospital to take the operator to the trauma center.
