August 18, 2024 – Allenton, WI – The Allenton American Legion Post 483 is gearing up for its 77th annual Allenton Parade. The event steps off at 11:30 a.m. Veteran Ron Naab is the master of ceremonies. Buckle in because there will be five bands, horses, and guaranteed a lot of Dad jokes.
The parade steps off at 11:30 from the Allenton American Legion Post 483 on Railroad Street, north to Main Street and then south on Church Street.
This is the most entertaining parade in southern Wisconsin.
Enjoy Gehrings brats, 1/3 lb hamburger and cheeseburger for only $4. There will also be shredded beef and subs.

One of the most notable things missing from this year’s parade was a train. Every year, according to organizers, the train passes through during the parade. This year… seamless.

The Slinger High School Marching Band was in fine form with some hits from the 80’s. The group just wrapped up band camp and sounded fantastic.
