Washington County, WI – The Allenton American Legion Post 483 has designated Saturday, August 17, of their picnic weekend as Family Day at Allenton Veterans Memorial Park located on First Street next to the Town Hall.
Saturday afternoon will be time for the kids to have fun with a huge inflatable, miniature golf course, a wood-building project sponsored by Zuern Building Products, and face painting. Many of these activities will be FREE or at a very low cost.

The American Legion Picnic softball tournament will start at 8:00 a.m. and run until 8:00 p.m. as the double-elimination tournament of eight outstanding teams compete.
New this year at the American Legion picnic will be a display of Military Memorabilia from Gunner Gear Militaria along with a display of older military vehicles.
Food for the day will include subs from Allenton Subway and Izzy’s hot dogs from Jackson will be present to help serve hot dogs and brats during the day in the area of the ball field.
At the pavilion there will be a special menu from Flavors of Grace in Allenton consisting of a Slider Meal with your choice of chicken strips, shredded beef or pulled pork along with macaroni and cheese or baked beans, and chips. There will be adult and kids portions to choose from.
The evening entertainment will be A-Jay’s Disco Services. This is considered to be a community dance outing with everybody encouraged and invited to join the festivities.
