West Bend, Wi – A ceremonial dedication of the altar was held during a special Sunday Mass at St. Frances Cabrini, 1025 S. Seventh Avenue, in West Bend, Wi. Archbishop Jerome Listecki preside over the Mass.
The dedication Mass was part of the culmination of years of remodeling which moved the crucifix from the front of the church to the narthex and included the painting of a 4-story mural.

Archbishop Listecki began with a blessing of water, followed by pouring chrism on the middle of the altar and each of its four corners.
After the rite of anointing, a brazier is placed on the altar for burning incense. Listecki then incensed the altar and the congregation.
The Mass was followed by a reception in Mother Cabrini Hall followed by a mural presentation by Rev. Nathan Reesman.
According to the parish: Worship Space Renovation, $900,000. Our Saint Frances Cabrini worship space has not received any substantial updates since 2001. We need to invest in our worship space as the heart of our campus, making it a place of beauty that inspires, invites, and gives glory to God.

Our planned renovations will provide a beautiful house of prayer for the next generation of our parish family. The renovation Includes a total artistic revision of the worship space centering on a colorful and dramatic new central mural of the majestic Christ surrounded by the Saints in Heaven, as well as two matching side murals that will replace our existing side devotional shrines.
Also included are new, radius-style (curved) pews and seating for the entire worship space. The renovation also includes the replacement of flooring surfaces and of sanctuary furniture, music area updates, and other basic infrastructure upgrades.

The 40-foot-tall mural in the sanctuary of the church forms a dramatic high altar that depicts the glorified Christ coming at the end of time.
