December 8, 2020 – Town of Polk, WI – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is looking for community assistance with an on-going investigation regarding an accident in the town of Polk.
Last Friday morning, December 4, 2020, around 9:50 a.m., the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a hit-and-run accident involving a pedestrian on CTH Z north of Cedar Creek Road in the Town of Polk.
The suspect vehicle was traveling southbound on CTH Z when it struck an excavating employee on the side of the road. The car is described as a smaller, dark colored two-door car. The vehicle would be missing the passenger side mirror that was recovered at the scene.
The mirror is dark blue and maybe aftermarket. The car slowed down before taking off southbound on CTH Z.
Thankfully, the victim was transported to a local hospital and released with minor injuries.
