Dec. 7, 2017 – West Bend, WI – The West Bend High School Band presented its “A Winter Concert 2017” which featured three bands from Badger Middle School, Sousa Band, Holst Band, and Stravinsky Band.
These were followed by a guest performance of the West Bend High School Wind Ensemble.
The Sousa Band featured three pieces including “Christmas Overture” arranged by Sandy Feldtsein and John O’Reily.
The Holst Band also did three compositions, ending with a resounding rendition of “Uptown Funk” arranged by Michael Story.
The final band from Badger Middle School featured “Silverbrook” which was commissioned by Michael Sweeney, performed by the Stravinsky Band.
The Wind Ensemble under the direction of Leah Duckert-Kroll played two very entertaining and challenging pieces.
Everyone in the audience was overwhelmed with their performance of “The Eighth Candle” by Steve Reisteter.
