It’s a story you saw first at http://www.washingtoncountyinsider.com as Halloween Express has returned to West Bend.
The store known for “carrying the absolute largest selection of Halloween costumes and Halloween merchandise” is leasing the former Walgreens location on Decorah and S. Main Street.
“This is going to be a great store inside a great location,” said Halloween Express franchise owner James Purvis.
Although the former Walgreens space in West Bend is large, Purvis has a Halloween Express megastore on County Line Road in the Germantown Plaza that is twice as big.
“I tend to overbuy,” said Purvis. “But I’m able to go a little deeper with my product supply.”
Purvis carries higher quality makeup and Halloween Express will also carry “all the characters” in the current political arena.
There will be a soft opening Sept. 1 in West Bend and the store will feature a ‘Haunted Gauntlet.’
“It’s like a mini haunted house built into an aisle of the store,” said Purvis. “Some of the little kids avoid it but it’ll be dark and have some of the mechanical monsters.”
Halloween Express will start with 5 employees and grow to 15 during the height of the season.
Halloween Express secured its lease through Adam Williquette at Anderson Commercial Group. Its lease runs through Nov. 2, 2016.
