Obituary | Norbert J. Clune, 76, of West Bend

December 29, 2019 – West Bend, WI –Norbert J. Clune, 76, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 27, 2019 at the VA Hospital in Milwaukee with his loving wife by his side. He was born on July 4, 1943 in Milwaukee to Clarence and Anna (nee Warren) Clune. Norbert was a Vietnam Veteran who proudly served in the US Army from 1964 to 1967 in the 25th Infantry Division. His random phone calls, jokes and one-liners will be dearly missed by his family. Everyone who met Norb loved him. He loved music and dancing, showing even-more-so in the last few years. Norb is now dancing on streets of gold.

Norbert is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jane (nee Ihrcke); children, Judy (Don) Flitter, Camille (Larry) Sterr, Rick (Janice), Owen (Kelly Wagner), Renee (Bob) Friedemann, Jon (Jessica); grandchildren, Brandon (Kayla) and Candace Flitter, Dustin (Laura), Andrew and Jake Sterr, Caleb and Leah Clune, Haley, Sam and Jayda Moore, Emily, Elizabeth and Noah Zahn, Caden and Olivia Friedemann, Matthew, Alex, Dylan, Isaac and Addison Clune; great-grandchildren, Landon and Adalynn Rosenbaum, Everleigh Sterr and his siblings, Joe Clune, Pat Ellis and Beatrice Wilbur. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Norbert is preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law, brother Leo and sister Bonnie Yanko.

A Funeral Service will be Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 12 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel, 1420 W Paradise Dr. West Bend, WI 53095, with Rev. Rose Vukovich presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday, January 4 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:45 p.m. A Private Entombment will take place at Washington County Memorial Park.

A special thank you to all the nurses and caregivers on the 9th floor at the Zablocki Milwaukee VA Medical Center for your love, care and compassion you showed Norb.
