Tough loss in OT for UWM at Washington County | By Zach Smith

December 5, 2019 – Washington Co., WI – UWM at Washington County couldn’t overcome the early deficit as it fell to UWO at Fond du Lac County by a score of 105-101.

In a track meet of a game, the Falcons jumped out to an early double-digit lead as it went up by 20 points. The Wildcats began to claw their way back into the game, but trailed 56-41 at the half.

However, the Wildcats flipped the script in the second half. They picked up the intensity on defense, and their three-point shots started to fall.

As UWM at Washington County began to build confidence, the lead for UWO at Fond du Lac County began to shrink.

With three clutch free throws at the end, the Wildcats David Britton sent the game into overtime 90-90.  However, the Falcons regained control and ultimately took the game 105-101.

Looking to play a complete game next time out, the Wildcats will learn from this game and build on the second-half comeback.

David Britton lead all scorers with 43 points. He also added 11 rebounds and 6 assists.  Seth Perez poured in 26 points for his second straight game of 20+ points, and Zach Smith added another 17 points with 11 of those points coming in the second half.
